Kalima Blockchain

Kalima has been built to secure, facilitate and accelerate the collection, transmission, storage and monetization of data from industries using IoT systems. Thanks to the possibility to build its own private blockchain, a Privachain, each industry using IoT can independently secure its data.

Kalima Blockchain is composed of the Kalima MainChain and a decentralized network of independent permissioned blockchains called Kalima Privachains. It’s a third generation of blockchain like Cosmos and Polkadot proposing blockchain interconnection as a new paradigm to solve the decentralization objective and achieve scalability.

 

Kalima MainChain


The Kalima Main Chain is the blockchain that hosts the Kalima ecosystem’s native token, the KLX.

In detail, the Main Chain is composed of interconnected Channels that form a network of public blockchains.

The Kalima Blockchain consensus is a Delegated Proof of Stake. This unique solution, which uses a Raft variant for voting, gives the blockchain the potential to save computational cycles and meet the multitude of enterprise use case requirements by providing a secure and robust model for identity, scalability, and privacy.

 

The Kalima Main Chain enables KLX transactions to be executed within the ecosystem, however the main value for the Kalima Blockchain resides in the PrivaChains, where the decentralized applications (DApps) will be hosted in the Kalima Blockchain.

Kalima PrivaChains

PrivaChains are permissioned blockchains on Kalima Ecosytem. Each PrivaChain is independent and possesses its own governance. It can be interconnected or not with other PrivaChains but also with other public blockchains such as Tezos, and in the near future with the Lightning Bitcoin networks, Polygon Ethereum and Cosmos hubs.

Privachains are blockchains created by entreprises or individuals on Kalima Blockchain to create DApps with the Kalima Protocol.

The Kalima ecosystem aims to enable the development of multiple DApps. Each developer can use the Kalima tools to develop their application based on a Kalima Privachain, interacting or not with Tezos, Lightning network, Polygon and Cosmos networks

How to create your own Privachain?

Conditions for deploying a Privachain 

To deploy a Privachain on the Kalima, a user must hold a minimum of 50 million KLX. This amount can be staked.

The Privachain owner can hold over 50 million de KLX for their Privachain so as to benefit from reduced frequence of payments of transaction costs on their Privachain. This mechanism is descibed below.

 

Rewards for Privachains

As a mean of bootstrapping the Kalima network, the first 1000 Privachains will benefit from obtainable rewards once deployed.

For this, 10 reward levels have been put in place, rewarding further earlier Privachains, and will work in the following way. The first 10 Privachains deployed on Kalima blockchain can obtain a reward of 200 000 000 KLX for each Privachain. Conditions and rewards for the following levels are described on the Kalima whitepaper.

 

Data Lakes and Data Safes


Kalima Blockchain provides data lakes which expose authorized data from one or several blockchains to run different types of analytics, dashboards, visualizations, statistics, big data processing or machine learning to have a clear vision on your data and data safe to provide a hihly secure storage for critical data.

Data Lake and data safe nodes are Client nodes which collect data of one or multiple blockchain, depending on the authorizations, to compile and publish them to facilitate data search, machine learning, statistics or to provide a highly secure storage.
