Toyota looks to blockchain to develop autonomous vehicles. 🚗



Toyota Research Institute in collaboration with the Massachusetts Institute of Technology Media Lab.

In 2017, Toyota Research Institute said it was starting a collaboration with the Massachusetts Institute of Technology Media Lab to develop autonomous cars. The goal is to securely store data generated by driving and then use that data to calculate insurance rates, which is currently a sensitive regulatory issue in the autonomous car space.
